Reflexology has been practiced in many cultures for centuries to promote health and well-being. Today, reflexology is considered a complementary and alternative medicine used by millions to reduce stress and anxiety, boost circulation and immune response, relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, and boost general health. The practice of foot reflexology involves applying pressure to areas on the feet to alleviate stress, and benefit a person’s overall health. Although reflexology should not be used as a single treatment for any condition, it can be a relaxing therapy for your feet with whole-body benefits.
Reflexology naturally calms the mind and the body into a state of relaxed bliss. This improves cognitive function, helps boost creativity and work habits, leads to better sleep and improves your overall mood. Each reflexology foot massage starts with cleansing the feet using soothing essential oils. Adding aromatherapy or essential oils to your reflexology can increase these health benefits, leading to ultimate tranquility.
Along with foot reflexology, the therapist will spend time massaging your arms, hands, and shoulders to ensure that you’re getting a full body massage experience. After each session, your body is left in a state of peaceful balance.
It is recommended that you wear shoes that are easily removed, along with loose fitting, comfortable clothing. It is important to drink plenty of water after your foot reflexology massage.
